ABOUT HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE CHELAMESWAR, THE CHIEF GUEST
The Honourable Mr. Justice J. Chelameswar, the Chief Guest on the occasion, is a judge of the Supreme Court of India. Known for several landmark rulings, as well as his service to the environment, Justice Chelameswar has had a varied and exemplary career. He graduated in Physics from Loyola College, Madras and in Law from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in 1976. He was appointed Additional Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court in 1997, and in 2007 was named Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court. Later he was transferred as Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, and in October 2011. He was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 10.10.2011.
