ADDRESS BY HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE CHELAMESWAR, CHIEF GUEST
Jasti Chelameswar (born 23 June 1953) is a judge on the Supreme Court of India. He was formerly the Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala and Gauhati High Court.
Chalameswar was born in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, India to Jasti Annapoorna and Lakshminarayana, a lawyer at Machilipatnam, Krishna Dist. He Graduated in Science (Physics) at the Madras Loyola College and Law from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in 1976.
Justice Chalameswar served as the Additional Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. Later, he became the Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court in 2007. He was later transferred as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court and was elevated as a Judge, Supreme Court of India in October 2011. Mr. Justice Chalameshwar, retired on 22.06.2018
He has delivered several landmark judgements while in the top court including judgment which involved the striking down a controversial law which gave Indian police the power to arrest anyone accused of posting emails or other electronic messages which causes annoyance or inconvenience by holding that Section 66A of the Information Technology Act, which made such offenses punishable up to three years imprisonment, was unconstitutional.
DR. RAJA RADHA REDDY ON SUBBUDU
Raja Radha Reddy are an eminent Kuchipudi dancers, choreographers and guru and need no introduction. Together the dancing duo is famously known as Raja-Radha Reddy. For their contribution to the dance form, they were conferred the Padma Shri (1984), Padma Bhushan (2000) and Sangeet Natak Akademi award. They alongwith Kaushalya a Kuchipudi dancer together run Natya Tarangini Institute of Kuchipudi Dance in New Delhi.
MRS. GEETA CHANDRAN ON SUBBUDU
Padmashri Ms. Geeta Chandran is a celebrated Dancer/Choreographer, artist and a star-performer, who is synonymous with the Indian classical dance: Bharatanatyam. She is Founder-President of Natya-Vriksha, an organization devoted to promoting Bharatanatyam.
MRS. LEELA VENKATRAMAN ON SUBBUDU
Leela Venkatraman, a scholar, historian and commentator on the Indian dance, has been involved in dance critiquing for thirty years, writing for several journals. Leela Venkataraman is the Delhi correspondent and also a regular contributor to SRUTI a prestigious monthly journal on Classical Dance and Music.

Krishna Kumar
Krishna Kumar is son-in-law of Shri Subbudu. However, Shri Subbudu is remembered by him as being a perfect father and a friend. Krishna Kumar is also a practicing Advocate in Supreme Court of India.
Ragini Kumar
Ragini Kumar, the only daughter of Shri Subbudu, is also proficient in Carnatic music. She has also imbibed the flair of “judging” the music and is very particular about “shruti and taal”.
Sriram
Sriram is the eldest son of Shri Subbudu and possesses immense knowledge of the intricacies of music. He himself is proficient in playing Mridangam.
